In India’s journey towards becoming a global manufacturing powerhouse, Kirloskar Ebara Pumps Limited (KEPL) has established its position as a key player in innovation, self-reliance and engineering excellence. Established in 1988 as a joint venture company of Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), KEPL has carved a niche as a global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of API-compliant pumps and steam turbines.
With more than three decades of expertise, KEPL has become synonymous with high-performance pumping solutions for critical industries like oil and gas, petrochemicals, fertilizers, power generation and water treatment. The company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Kirloskarvadi, Maharashtra, is at the heart of this success story, producing world-class products for both domestic and international markets.
KEPL’s parent company, KBL, was founded in 1888 under the leadership of Laxmanrao Kirloskar. Today, KBL is India’s largest pump manufacturer and a multinational conglomerate with a presence in 120 countries. This legacy of innovation and resilience is the foundation on which KEPL continues to build its future.
KEPL offers a comprehensive product portfolio that addresses the full range of fluid handling and power generation needs across various industries. Its core offerings include API and non-API centrifugal pumps, specifically designed to handle challenging operational conditions in oil and gas, petrochemicals and power sectors. The company also manufactures boiler feed-water pumps and condensate extraction pumps, critical for thermal power plant operations.
“Kirloskar Ebara Pumps Limited is forging India’s path to self-reliance and industrial resilience by supporting critical infrastructure that powers the nation’s energy backbone.”

In addition to its extensive pump range, the company specializes in single and multi-stage steam turbines, including turbo generators (power steam turbines) that support energy recovery and power generation applications. The company further enhances operational efficiency with hydraulic power recovery turbines, enabling clients to optimize energy usage in process industries.
It provides original spares and comprehensive service packages, including annual maintenance contracts (AMC) for its customers worldwide. With its ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 certifications, KEPL ensures that quality, environmental care and workplace safety remain at the core of its business practices.

Another noteworthy addition to its portfolio is the PetroTurbo pump, an indigenously designed and manufactured product specifically for retail petroleum applications. Superior performance with durability makes this pump an ideal solution for India’s growing fuel retail sector.
KEPL played a pivotal role in bolstering India’s oil and gas infrastructure by contributing to two major pipeline projects, covering a combined length of 2,284 kilometers. The company supplied critical crude handling pumps to four key stations in the Paradip-Numaligarh Crude Oil Pipeline, one of the country’s longest pipelines and also supplied advanced pumping systems to the Numaligarh-Siliguri Product Pipeline.

KEPL is actively redefining what it means to manufacture in India – not just assembling products but engineering world-class solutions from the ground up. Transitioning from “Made in India” to “Engineered and Designed in India,” it continues to develop indigenous products that match and often exceed global benchmarks.
KEPL is deeply grateful to Engineers India Limited for their continued trust and opportunity to contribute to projects of national significance. These engagements go beyond engineering excellence by serving as powerful enablers of employment generation, skill enhancement and community empowerment, while strengthening country’s industrial landscape and fostering inclusive growth and sustainable development.
With a strong foundation built on trust, innovation and quality, KEPL continues to energize industries and enrich lives. As India progresses toward becoming a self-reliant, innovation-driven economy, it remains committed to powering this journey through advanced engineering solutions, robust partnerships and an unwavering focus on national growth.
