Expansion and integration

Recognizing the rapid evolution of India’s renewable energy sector, SSEL Group has strategically expanded beyond conventional power equipment into a fully integrated clean energy ecosystem. Through Indosol Solar Private Limited, the Group is developing one of India’s most comprehensive solar manufacturing platforms, integrating the complete value chain from polysilicon, ingot, wafer, solar cell, to high-efficiency solar modules. This integrated approach strengthens domestic manufacturing while supporting India’s vision of renewable energy self-reliance.

The Group’s capabilities extend through its specialized businesses. Shuchi Alloys and Conductors Limited manufactures high-quality aluminum alloys and conductors for transmission and distribution applications, while Indotech Transformers Limited, a listed company within the Group, delivers advanced transformer solutions for domestic and international markets. Complementing these strengths, the Group’s EPC business executes power transmission, distribution and renewable energy infrastructure projects, enabling customers to benefit from a single, trusted partner across the project lifecycle.

Powering a low-carbon economy

The company offers an integrated manufacturing portfolio spanning distribution transformers, power transformers, EHV transformers, inverter duty transformers, pad-mounted transformers, conductors, alloys and integrated solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing. Its flagship Kadapa facility is one of India’s largest manufacturing hubs for distribution and medium power transformers, producing cold-rolled grain oriented and energy-efficient amorphous core transformers up to 25 megavolt ampere (MVA), 66 kilovolt (kV) class, supported by robotic fabrication, vertically integrated conductor and insulation manufacturing, transformer oil processing, and ISO/IEC 17025-certified testing laboratories.

Through its manufacturing facilities at Kanchipuram and Naini, SSEL Group manufactures extra high voltage (EHV) transformers up to 500 MVA, 400 kV class, powered by world-class automation and precision engineering.

Together, these facilities provide a combined manufacturing capacity of 39,000 MVA for utilities, industries, renewable energy projects, and export markets. Beyond transformers, Indosol Solar is developing a 20 gigawatt integrated solar PV manufacturing ecosystem from polysilicon to module, while Shuchi Alloys & Conductors manufactures 48,000 megatons of advanced conductors, alloys, wire rods and HPC & HTLS conductors.
