2022 marked the start of ZTE’s expansion phase. ZTE, while consolidating its first curve represented by the communications technology business, has been rapidly expanding the second curve represented by IT, digital energy and terminals to realize sustainable development.
Specifically, this expansion in IT includes server and storage products, 5G industry applications, automotive electronics and other digital transformation businesses, while digital energy is represented by power supply, internet data centers and new energy and terminals for mobile phones, mobile internet and smart home products. ZTE has established two sub-industry special teams of mining, metallurgy and steel to accelerate the development of 5G vertical applications.
According to ZTE’s recently released ‘Annual Report 2023 Q1’, ZTE achieved operating revenue of US$4.06 billion, an increase of 4.3 percent year-on-year. The net profit attributable to holders of ordinary shares of the listed company reached US$367 million, an increase of 19.2 percent year-on-year.
The net profit after extraordinary items attributable to holders of ordinary shares of the listed company for the same period was US$341 million, representing a year-on-year rise of 25.7 percent. Its net cash flows from operating activities increased by 95.9 percent to US$324 million, compared to the same period last year.
As the external environment remains complex and volatile in 2023, it poses great challenges to corporate business operations. To cope with this, ZTE has adopted the business strategy of “precision and pragmatism for steady growth”.
