Luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin has unleashed prototype models of its first hybrid supercar, the boldly named Valhalla.
The vehicle, the company has said, sits at “the forefront of Aston Martin’s transition from internal combustion to hybrid to full electrification”.
“Valhalla combines the pure aerodynamic function you would expect from a marque competing in Formula One together with the beautiful form, striking proportions and exemplary detailing for which Aston Martin is renowned,” Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman said.
Limited to just 999 models, Valhalla enters production this year.
Hong Kong will top the world’s cities in terms of revenue from international tourism spending by 2032, according to a new 10-year forecast by the World Travel and Tourism Council.
Large Asian cities with extensive infrastructure dominated the top 10, but they were joined by New York, Amsterdam and Dubai as the most attractive to overseas visitors.

Travel and lifestyle accessories brand TUMI has opened the doors to its first flagship store for the Asia–Pacific region in Omotesando in Tokyo, Japan.
The newly designed store is inspired by the brand’s 19 Degree collection and is the first of its kind globally. Spanning more than 185 square meters, the store features a range of innovative design elements.
A 19-degree aluminum sculpture by perceptual artist Michael Murphy creates an illusion of a 19-degree aluminum piece, which morphs into the TUMI ‘T’ logo as viewers walk around it.
“We are thrilled to unveil TUMI’s newly designed store in Omotesando. Not only is it our first flagship store in the Asia–Pacific, but it’s also one of our most groundbreaking store concepts globally,” Creative Director Victor Sanz said.
“From the sculptural 3D facade to the upgraded materials, each carefully planned detail and element speaks to TUMI’s brand DNA.”
In honor of the start of the Chinese Lunar New Year of the Dragon, Johnnie Walker Blue Label has launched a limited edition whiskey bottle designed in collaboration with Asian–American artist James Jean.
Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Jean was raised in New Jersey and currently lives in Los Angeles. For this bottle design, he drew inspiration from the tradition and symbolism of the wood dragon.
“Many consider the dragon the most powerful animal in the Chinese zodiac and the wood dragon felt remarkably close to me because of the natural elements prevalent in my own work,” he said.
“Evolved from traditional depictions of Chinese dragons, my dragon is composed of flowers and organic elements, from which emerge tendrils and arcing lines, evoking the idea of roots and connection.”
As Aranui celebrates its 40th anniversary, it has confirmed it will expand its Marquesas focus to start delivering freight on a new French Polynesia itinerary.
In 2025, Aranui 5 will sail 22 voyages carrying cargo to either the northern Marquesas Islands or southern Austral archipelago.
The new schedule includes three 13-day Australs voyages, during which Aranui 5 will deliver freight to the remote southern islands for the first time. The vessel will also collect goods to be delivered to Raiatea, Bora Bora and Papeete on the return leg.
Aranui’s southern voyages are the only way to see all five inhabited Austral Islands – Tubuai, Rurutu, Rimatara, Raivavae, which is known as the Bora Bora of the south, and Rapa Iti, which is only accessible by sea.
