For many years, Nöjd AB has established itself as one of Sweden’s leading wholesalers for packaging materials and packaging machines. The company was founded in 1982, and is still privately owned. The strategy has always been to have a constant growth rate under controlled expansion.

A few years before the pandemic Nöjd AB made a strategic decision to start focusing on the packaging process and find solutions for it. Nöjd AB realised that it needed to position itself as a supplier for its existing customers to help them with an effective and automated packaging process.

Nöjd AB had the sales organisation and after-sales support already set up for years, so when the first interest came, it could easily move forward and was able to offer the correct solution.

Apotea was Nöjd AB’s first customer for our automated solutions. It quickly saw the benefits of working with an ergonomic and higher output. But the most important point was that it could automatically decrease the height of its boxes. The benefit of this is that it could dramatically reduce the use of void-fill, and many more parcels could be loaded on each truck leaving the warehouse.

Nöjd AB has supported Apotea with machines, service and maintenance, corrugated boxes, glue and labels. Nöjd AB is Apotea’s one-stop shop for automation.

During the pandemic, E-Commerce saw a huge increase in sales and therefore the urge for automation grew quickly. Having achieved success with Apotea, other companies saw the possibilities and during the past two years many more machines were installed.

Nöjd AB is now the leading company in Sweden for the automated packaging process and believes it is only the start of a development that is here to stay.
